Rebecca studied Law at Manchester Metropolitan University. After graduating, she completed her training at Macks and qualified as a solicitor 1999. Rebecca has expertise and experience in handling all types of road accident claims, particularly those involving cyclists. She has been actively involved with Headway, the brain injury charity, for many years.

Outside of work Rebecca enjoys running, cycling, climbing and walking.

• Representing a cyclist who was riding through heavy traffic and overtaking slow-moving vehicles when a car pulled across his path, leaving him no time to avoid a collision. The claim was defended by the motorist’s insurers, but eventually settled in favour of the claimant, who recovered compensation for his severe injuries.

• Acting for a cyclist who was commuting to work when he was knocked off his bicycle by an overtaking motor vehicle, sustaining permanent injuries.

• Acting for a cyclist who was knocked off his bicycle when a car failed to give way while he was exiting a roundabout. The cyclist not only suffered a severe injury but his bicycle (high spec and very valuable) was damaged beyond repair. The claimant recovered compensation for his injuries and a substantial amount to enable him to replace his damaged bicycle.

• Acting on behalf of a cyclist who was knocked from his bike by a car that suddenly pulled away from a parked position as he was passing. The cyclist suffered only minor psychical injuries, but recovered compensation for the psychological impact of the accident and was able to undergo psychological treatment to help him regain his confident and return to cycling again.
