Cycle Accident Injures UK Olympic Hopefuls
Five British athletes are recovering after a sports cycle accident in Belgium. The five riders were all young women, aged between 18 and 20. Three of the cyclists were part of the British Cycling Olympic programme for the 2012 London games.

A 19 year old woman has been convicted of death by dangerous driving after killing an army sports cyclist. Katie Hart, a health worker from Little Paxton in Cambridgeshire, was sentenced to 21 months in prison for the death of Major Gareth Rhys-Evans.
Cyclist sues after pothole accident
Warren Peters, a 45-year-old surveyor from West Sussex, was riding his bicycle along a stretch of road on his seven mile journey home from work when his front wheel hit a pothole in the road. Mr Peters was left unrecognisable, after he was thrown from his bicycle into the road. He suffered multiple fractures to his face and two black eyes as well as multiple cuts and bruises. He looked more like the victim of a vicious mugging rather than a pothole.
Teenager dies in bicycle accident
The teenager was riding his bike along Blacker Lane in the village of Netherton when it struck the kerb, causing him to fall.
He was taken to Pinderfield Hospital in Wakefield by air ambulance, but died a short time later.
