Rebecca studied law at Manchester Metropolitan University. After graduating she completed her training at Macks and qualified as a solicitor in 1999.
Rebecca has expertise and experience in dealing with all types of accident claims. She is actively involved with Headway, the brain injury charity and is a committee member of a regional Headway group.
In one notable case, Rebecca represented a gentleman who had been knocked off his bike by a car. Whilst suffering minor physical injuries, the psychological injuries were quite significant. The gentleman had been trying to overtake a parked car, however when he pulled out, the vehicle behind did not give him enough room, resulting in the car hitting the rear bike wheel and the gentlemen being knocked off his bike. Although he suffered from some physical injuries, it was the psychological effect that was most damaging. Before the accident, the claimant would cycle everywhere; it was not only a means of transport but also his hobby. After the accident, however, he felt too frightened to get back on his bike. Thanks to Rebecca, he received over £10,000 in compensation, meaning that he has been able to receive ongoing psychological treatment that will help him regain his confidence and enjoy cycling again.
Outside work, Rebecca enjoys running, cycling, climbing and walking.
